Windows vista dial up connection setup

On the Set up a dial-up connection screen Enter your EasyStreet information. In the Portland area use the phone number , otherwise use a number from our Dial Up Numbers List. When you have filled in the EasyStreet information, click Create. You should then be able to click Close. Now we need to edit the connection. Once you've finished with all of this hit the "Connect" button to continue and if you wish to skip the test connection please click on the "Skip" button that is now located down at the bottom.

If you've chosen to "Skip" the test connection it will show a screen saying that "The Internet connectivity test was unsuccessful" and you will need to choose "Set up the connection anyway". You can now click on the close button and your Internet connection is now complete.

Select Set up a dial-up connection and click Next :. At this point, you will need to either buy a dialup modem or have it properly installed on your computer. You may seek the help of a trained computer technician. To connect to the Internet, click on the Connect To button showed in step 1 , click on the Earthnet dialup connection to select it, then on the Connect button at the bottom. If you are in the default view, click on " View network status and tasks " from the classic view, simply double-click on the Network and Sharing Center icon :.

On that screen, you will see your network connections, including the dialup connection you just created. Do a right-click on that Earthnet dialup connection icon, and choose Create Shortcut :. You now have a pretty icon right on your desktop that you can double-click on to launch your Internet connection. Do a right-click on that Earthnet dialup connection icon, and choose Properties:.

In some instances, the Windows operating system's network utility is the software that controls the modem. If there is a software driver in the kit that comes along with your phone, then the first thing is to get it installed. Don't connect your modem until you've finished installing your software driver. Disable your antivirus and firewalls until installation is complete before you enable them again.
